It's been a while since I talked about virtual fashion, but since finally I have time, I would like to talk to you about Mimi's Choice. I know Mimi Juneau since she added a few outfit of my friend and "boss", Anubis Hartunian (owner and designer of Anubis Fashion), in her beautiful and very large shop in Second Life.
I was in her shop a few days ago (yes, sometimes I still go shopping in SL, even if there are so many creatives offering freebies and so many different brand and styles to choose that is hard to find exactly what you would like to buy) and I suggest you to follow my example and go to take a look, because it's whortwhile, believe me!
First of all even in Mimi's shop there are a lot of gifts, freeibies and special offers, but be aware some of the best are just for limited time, so take a look at her Flickr's stream or her Facebook page not to miss them. Then go to her shop, which is in Second Life, but also in Inworldz, and prepare to spend some minutes to have a trip in one of the best selection of virtual fashion, for man and woman, I've ever seen.
Because this is the value added by Mimi: she is a fashionist more than a merchant, she selects only the best outfits of the best designers (and believe me, even if she is so smart and a very kind girl, she knows what is good and what is not and doesn't accept to add anything she doesn't like), so taking a look at her shop will save you a lot of time while giving the opportunity to have the best virtual fashion at a glance. So what are you waiting for?

Anubis Style Fall Collection 2011
It's done: after a very nice show at Modavia's fashion week, last Friday, with a lot of friends coming to see Anubis' latest outfits (sim was full quite for all the show, with 60 selected avatars always on), Anubis Style Fall Collection 2011 is now on sale inworld and as soon as possible on the store on Marketplace. If you wanna have a first glance of the entire collection (15 glamorous and very different outfits, from cocktail dresses to jackets, from silk to leather) you can take a look in Facebook's Anubis Hartunian album, here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.278357522174417&type=1
I will try to post as soon as possible more photos of these outfits (the image you see in this post is me wearing Mouche, a chinese-like outfit in red silk) since I think they are some of the best you can find at the moment in all the grid, so really Anubis Style is the style for ladies who style! Cya soon!

New Anubis Style collection at Modavia Fashion Week
Gasp, it's September! Due to some RL issues I was not very frequenlty in world, nor was Anubis Hartunian, owner and designer of Anubis Style, whom was hard working to finish her latest Fall Collection. So mark your calendar: Friday September 9, from 15.00 SLT (24.00 CET) all Anubis' fabolous outfits wil be showed from the runway of Modavia Fashion Week.Remember: Friday September 9, 2011, from 15.00 SLT (24.00 CET), a couple of days before the first schedule I gave you a few days ago (RL comes first and as I said we both have some issues in these days, so we asked to Modavia how to be sure to be able to show this wonderful collection and Poptart Lilliehook, Modavia's Ceo, was so nice to help us).
I would be very pleased to show you some of the outfits Anubis gave me but have to wait just this last couple of days... since hall the collection will be available at mainstore the day after the show (and of course you will then find it even on Anubis Style store on Marketplace). Will send you a gift cart too, but to use it don't forget to wear the group ta! Have a nice day, we will wait you!

A presto!

New Anubis Style opening at Curlew Waters
Another shop of Anubis Style open on Second Life, the virtual world of Linden Lab. This time is at Curlew Waters, where there was once Porto Venere and where now you can find some of the most important fashion brands of SL joined in the group Italian Charm.
Anubis (whose store you can find even on the web: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/6093?id=6093) offer a wide range of some of her most renewed outfits and of course the very last new entry of her latest collection for all the visitors of the beautiful land of Jennyfer Miles, so I hope you'll come and take a look at the all land (and of course at our shop!). But I must admit I was very very pleased to receive the visit of a great friend of mine, the italian fashion designer Pinco Janus, owner and designer of Babele Fashion. Pinco appreciated a lot our new stores and the latest outfits of Anubis Style and since she is one of the most renewed (and sexy) designer of all SL this is an onour for us.
So I can only invite you to visit the new store of Anubis Style (here the landmark: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Curlew%20Waters/78/154/21) and choose your Anubis' clothes you like much. Because remember, Anubis Style is just for ladies who have style as you!

What a week!
Thanks to God this week is closed and hopefully the next will be better. Due to some RL trouble it seems to me hard it could be worst, my friends, but at least something is moving in SL again and not only from the artistic side of view (you know I write weekly about digital artist of Koinup.com on my column Graphic Dreams on Mondivirtuali.it), but even for fashion, my first (or second, it depends from time to time) passion, at least in virtual reality.Last week I met Marianna Vita, a Greek lady from Patrasso in love with SL since her very first visit in September 2007 and since then builder and landlord of Maritonto Home Rental, a nice sims systems where you can find for affordable prices the virtual home of your dreams, just furnished as you prefer (Marianna has more than 100 options ready for you). At Maritonto a new mall is growing for its rentals and Anubis Style (togheter with Mamba, that is the new brand of Mew Denimore, yet owner and designer of Addoro) is there too, so hopefully you can have fun with Anubis' (and Mew's) latest outfits, ready for you. An interview of Marianna you can find on Mondivirtuali.it's pages too.
Next week you can even follow a nice fashion show of Anubis at the renewed land of Dubai Jazz My Way: it will be a welcome party, since Anubis Style (and Mamba too, again) is opening its store in the beautiful land of Milla Rasmuson and Giuseppe Curti (for further informations looks there). Then.. well then of course I will try to take a look at SL8B, the 8th birthday of SL, probably I will manage the opening of another store of Anubis in an italian land and... who knows, I will have to do a lot of things in RL too. Hopefully a little bit better than this awful week. Cya!

Art, fashion, furnitures and so on
What about Second Life in these last nights? Nothing really new but in this strange (and for business still very depressed, in RL as in SL) Spring I was pleasantly surprised to hear a couple of friends I didn't meet since a while, Silviax Johin (former model for Jennyfer Miles's agency and then fashion designer) and Melusina Parkin (Ceo of MEB, the brand of my good friend MariaElena Barbosa).
It was nice to hear from both and have a chat with both, remembered me the old times when Lucy was everynight inworld, busy with a lot of business or just for fun with her friend. Well, now RL asked its price and I have to work hard, too hard to be always inworld (as my "boss" Anubis Harthunian, owner and designer of Anubis Style knows well) but is nice to meet again old friend always with new ideas to share.
Melusina in particular let me know that she will have an exposition very soon, at Paris 1900, because of her work in the furnitures field (she is the owner of Meludeco and create nice furnitures inspired to that of the early XXth Century in RL), then probably she will have another exposition, of some her photos, I think at Barcellona or in another Spanish sim. I'm really happy for her and waiting to take a look. Last but not least, Anubis crated some new outfits very cool as always and I promise I will talk about (and let you have a look) in the next few days here on my blog, just the time to prove them when I will have an half afternoon (or evening) for dressing and taking some snapshots inworld.
Aw, by the way, a very very last thing: in these days there was a contest on Koinup.com (the online community I use to select every week a "graphic dreamer" for my column on Mondivirtuali.it), called "Virtual Diversity". There were more than a hundred works (every artists have to choose only one image) and some very nice. The winners and the top twenty runnersup will be displayed in Second Life at Diabolus Art Space gallery (see also there: http://www.mondivirtuali.it/portal/en/content/senban-wins-virtual-diversity) and then in Craft at the headquarter of Museo del Metaverso (take a look also there: http://www.museodelmetaverso.it/profiles/blogs/exhibition-at-diabolus-art). Hope you can go and take a look, I think it will be worthwhile.

I was exposed in RL
I was reading the interview of Alipia Rossini (an Italian Drow on SL) on Mondivirtuali.it and I was struck by a sentence, "This my first alter ego arrived early enough to expose part of myself in RL, an error that has since I didn’t repeat". I don't know directly Alipia, not in SL nor in RL, even if sometimes reading of her remind me a close SL friend of mine, Messaljna Pera (that you seen in this image... aw, I damn miss her)... but I realized just that even I am exposed in RL.
I mean, Lucy is my character, my virtual identity, but of course I have some friends in RL that know who I am (or that know that the person behind Lucy moves that avatar, depending from your point of view). To be honest at the moment there are about half a dozen women who know, which, I suppose, is quite a small number (and since one of them passed away one year ago more or less and a couple of them are very seldomly in world, well... is even smaller). I don't think this is such a problem like seems Alipia think (but eveyone has her/his good reasons so I respect her desire of privacy no less than mine), but the same this thought stroke me quite.
Oh well, I will reveal myself to my bosses maybe one day (to Anubis Harthunian, owner and designer of Anubis Style (that you can find on Marketplace too: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/6093) for instance, should we ever meet in RL as we both hope). Or to my friends should we ever have the occasion to meet and talk in RL and not just "in the game". For now I am happy to have been interviewed by an Italian television broadcasting some months ago (seems you can find my interview on Youtube...), demonstrating you can live two separete lives, that of the author and that of the carachter, riceiving good gratifications in both. SL could be a dream, or a theather, or a virtual arena for developing your skills or just have fun.
Is the good (and the bad) of a virtual world, don't you think? And... the next time I will talk again of fashion and clothes, but for new just a song for you, my dear friends: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ku7In5EiU0&feature=related
Bye bye, have fun in both your worlds.

Spring is coming
Spring is coming (and Anubis Style Spring Collection is yet in the shops, ready for you lovely fashionists), but you know... sometimes you came out with the sun and then start raining, or the wind freeze you...
So I thougth of taking a snapshot of me wearing Landa, which tecnically is an outfit of Anubis' last Winter Collection, but I love it since it's easy to wear and can give you a lot of possibilities to cover / uncover you... depending by the weather (or the company...).
Here I wear the "Hell blue" version, but you can choose in four different colors, so you can find the best for your style, I'm sure. As I'm sure that as soon as RL will allow me (at the moment I'm a bit busy with work and family, you know) I will be back in SL and start creating new events and contests for my friend Anubis Harthunian, of whom at the end I'm still the Ceo!
Cya there.

Anubis Style tribute to Alexander McQueen - part 2
As I said, Anubis Harthunian non only decided to give a tribute to Alexander McQueen (the talentuous british designer died last year, whose brand is still vibrant as you can see by its corporate site) creating in SL some some outfits that remind the use of color or drawns of McQueen's work, as with Tulipe (in four different colors: water, rose, lime and blue), Ryen (two versions, agua or rose), Camelia and Alexander, of which I talked in my previous post.

Anubis sometimes tried to recreate in SL some real RL outfits of Alexender, for instance some you can find here: http://laila-easum.blogspot.com/2010/03/alexander-mcqueen-pre-fw2010.html and that you see in the images of this post. Of course there are always two ways to do things: one is just copy and past textures (one of my dearest friend, Bianca Foulon, called sometimes this outfits the "photoshopped collections").

The other way is the way Anubis choose: to redesign the outfits, trying to be close to the original, but adabtping forms and colors to the graphic editor you use, in this case Second Life. Since you know, in RL these wonderful outfits are just for those women can wear them with quite no curves, thin and long legs, strong personality and great make up effects.

In Second Life where you usually find some "wonder women", with extra large boobs, massive shape, and not always a good selection of skins and make ups, the game is different and you have to try to adapt your style to your customers. But without pervert the original idea (in this case both like McQueen inspiration and like Anubis own work).

I think Anubis did a great work and the results were excellent, as you can see with Rissa, Lee, Laia and Catlyn, which are now grouped in the Alexander McQueen Tribute Collection (please note that with the outfits even boots and bags are included).
And now is your turn: come ad Anubis Style mainshop at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Journey/150/186/23 and take a look.
I'm sure you will fall in love with one or more of these wonderful outifts tribute of one of the most interestant youg designer of the last decade. So really, what are you waiting for? Cya there, or take a look at Anubis's items on sale on the marketplace: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/6093 if you prefer.

Anubis Style tribute to Alexander McQueen - part 1
Personally think one of the main reason to use Second Life as a creative digital platform is the possibility to recreate real objects, clothes, accessories just without having to take care of materials (that in RL often put limits to creativity). SL is a graphic grid so we essentially are playing with carachters, we can design everything from shoes to hats, from hairs to skins, to make our loved avatars the better and most personal we can.

Anubis Hartunian is one of the most talented women I met in the metaverse: in RL she is not a designer, at her beginning she hardly was able to use Gimp or Photoshop, but has fantasy and creativity. And loves beuty and design. So it's not surprisingly that, in a world where access barriers are lower than in RL, she was able to create and develope one of the most famous fashion brand of this virtual world: Anubis Style. Often giving declared tributes to the most intriguing RL designers, as was Alexander McQueen (which is still a very interesting fashion house, even if the british designer died last year).

But let's talk of Anubis' work: she created two distinct group of outfit which together form the Alexander McQueen Tribute Collection that you can find in Anubis Style main shop. The first group I wanna talk about is formed by four items, but with some different colors Anubis offers you eight distinct outifts: Tulipe, that you can choose in four different colors (water, rose, lime and blue), Ryen (two versions, agua or rose), Camelia and Alexander.

They recall the style of Alexander McQueen in the use of colors, of silks, or in the way they are drawned and cut, I love them since you can wear them with other jackets or accessories and create your own outfit, being the same a bright star in an elegant evening, or a nice, smooth flower in a cocktail party. You can show your true colors and be unique even in a crowded event. Always in an elegant and classy way, since you're a lady after all, even in a virtual world.

You can show your true colors and be unique even in a crowded event. Always in an elegant and classy way, since you're a lady after all, even in a virtual world.

Alexander McQueen tribute
Did you remember of Alexander McQueen? If not, pleased don't read further, this post clearly is not for you, no matter if you like (or not) the fashion system just in its virtual version like in Second Life (or Imvu, or The Sims...) or in the real one.McQueen was probably the most innovative and perhaps controversial young (born on 1969, he was younger than me if just for a year) "bloody" (was found hanged in his wardrobethe 11 February 2010) british designer of the last decade of the XXth century and the first one of the XXIst.
Why I ask if you remember of him? Because Anubis Hartunian, owner and designer of Anubis Style, has an (insane?) passione for his works, for his designs, for his art. So she decided (and... ok, I agreed with her) to devote a tribute to his work, creating a little collection, for an half inspired just by his style and so reinterpreted by Anubis herself and for an half totally designed to reproduce his magic works in avatarian-style outfits.Did Anubis hit the mark? For me she did, as always, but please judge by yourself taking a look at the images of this article and remember (I will post further in the next articles): the pictures of these collection are taken in Anubis Style main, at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Journey/150/186/23 (so if you like to buy one for yourself, let's see you there!)

Great Mardì Gras costumes for you on SL
Great costume party yesterday at the MiC (the island of Musei in Roma Capitale), with some of the best musicians and singers of the metaverse who performed life streaming, each performing three songs of his/her repertoire.
Next to party music and dancing, always at the MiC, at the Temple of Vesta and the Roman hypogeum, was set up a real theatrical couture, "Carnival Fashion", where you could buy the beautiful costumes made by some of the best fashion brands in Second Life.

Anubis Style could not miss, so we presented "El Diablo de Portobelo", you see above (in the background the RL costume), full of bright red sequins and with a lot of boots e.. wings, made for Miss Panama for the final of the Miss America contest in SL.

In addition to our hell, we have proposed "Lumaca" (litterally: snail) that you see in the picture above with a very "Roman" background, created for a special event and is now available for purchase, for a limited time, such as El Diablo, at our new main, at http://slurl.com/secondlife/Journey/150/186/23.

Happy birthday my love!

Grazie a tutte e buon primo novembre
Grazie a tutte (e tutti) voi e buon primo novembre (Ognissanti).
A presto!
